FUNCTION:
The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the month-end close process, reviewing financial statements, overseeing account reconciliations, handling consolidation reviews, and assisting the Company’s other accounting professionals. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Month-End Close: Lead and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Financial Statement Review: Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP. Provide recommendations for improvements or corrections when necessary.
- Account Reconciliation: Supervise the team in performing account reconciliations and ensure that any discrepancies are resolved promptly and accurately. Maintain a detailed review of all balance sheet accounts.
- Cash Management & Treasury Oversight: Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and treasury activities to ensure sufficient liquidity, effective working capital management, and compliance with financing agreements.
- Consolidation Review: Manage the consolidation process, ensuring proper intercompany eliminations, accurate allocation of expenses and revenues, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes. Implement best practices to increase efficiency and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Analytical Support: Provide key financial analysis to senior management, offering insight into trends, variances, and potential areas of concern. Prepare reports and presentations as needed for internal stakeholders.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure that financial records and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards. Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process. Management of business licenses, resale certifications, and local sales tax filings.
- Integration: Assist with the integration of acquired businesses.
- National Accounting: Be a key business partner to the National Operations leadership, ensuring performance metrics are met and adherence to complex customer invoicing and cash application processes, utilizing and assisting with the Supplier Portals as directed by our customer.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Provide mentorship and succession planning within the finance organization.
- Lead accounting process improvement, automation, and systems enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Serve as a key member of the Corporate Finance leadership team.
- Partner closely with the VP, Corporate Controller and CFO to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and growth planning.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, entity structuring, due diligence activities, and post-acquisition integration efforts.
- Provide insights into financial results, trends, and key performance indicators. Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as requested.
- Follow and comply with all company policies, safety requirements, and work rules.
- Operate standard office equipment and maintain professional workplace standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls.
- Experience managing audits, annual tax filings, and multi-entity accounting structures.
- Experience leading ERP implementations, system integrations, reporting enhancements, and accounting process automation is preferred.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or legacy accounting systems is a plus.
- Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. Occasionally lift 15-20 pounds.
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
